To appropriately stop announcement of a call by a mat sensor during a medical staffs nursing action.
SOLUTION: The mat sensor 1 is set ON the floor ON one side of a bed and ultrasonic sensors 2 and 3 are set at prescribed positions ON the other side of the bed. If one of the ultrasonic sensors 2 or 3 detects a distance longer than the width of the bed and the announcement is made based ON the detection by the mat sensor 1. ON the other hand, if all the ultrasonic sensors 2 and 3 detect the distance equivalent to the width of the bed or shorter and the announcement is not made regardless of the detection by the mat sensor 1. Accordingly, if a patient leaves the bed, the patient ON the bed is not detected by at least one ultrasonic sensor, and therefore and the announcement is made. If the patient is ON the bed and the patient ON the bed is detected by all the ultrasonic sensors 2 and 3, and the announcement by the mat sensor 1 is canceled. In this state and the announcement is not made even if a medical staff steps ON the mat sensor 1.
