PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root crop harvester for harvesting root crops from the field in which small fibrous roots around a tail part and a bulb circumference can be removed at the same time to harvest.SOLUTION: A root crop harvester is provided with a fibrous root/tail part removal unit 100 comprising a fibrous root cutting blade 105 for removing fibrous roots growing around the bulbs and tail part cutting blades 103R, 103 L for removing tail parts of bulb tips at the lower part of a pull-out conveyor 24 for pulling out root crops, and hanging and conveying them. The fibrous root/tail part removal unit 100 is constituted with a lengthwise fibrous root cutting blade 105 in which a slit 104 in the conveying direction is formed on left and right guide plates 101R, 101 L formed of a passage interval 102 complying with bulb shapes of the hanging root crops, and a blade edge comes close to the plate surface and rotate at the outside of the left and right guide plates 101R, 101 L.
