PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work machine capable of efficiently consuming fuel.SOLUTION: A work machine 10 includes a work body 70 for performing work, an internal combustion engine 100 having a plurality of cylinders, a clutch 80 switching on/off of power transmitted from the internal combustion engine 100 to the work body 70, and a control section 50 for controlling the work machine 10. The control section 50 starts the internal combustion engine 100 so that an engine speed of the internal combustion engine 100 reaches a prescribed engine speed in a state in which the cylinders are effectively driven. The control section 50 determines whether the engine speed of the internal combustion engine 100 is stable at the prescribed engine speed or not after starting of the internal combustion engine 100. The control section 50 stops driving of a part of the cylinders when the engine speed of the internal combustion engine 100 is stable at the prescribed engine speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】効率的に燃料を消費可能な作業機を提供する。【解決手段】作業機１０は、作業を行うための作業体７０と、複数の気筒を有する内燃機関１００と、内燃機関１００から作業体７０へ伝達される動力のオンオフを切り替えるクラッチ８０と、作業機１０を制御する制御部５０とを備えている。制御部５０は、複数の気筒が有効に駆動する状態で内燃機関１００の回転数が所定回転数に到達するように内燃機関１００を始動する。内燃機関１００が始動した後に、制御部５０は、内燃機関１００の回転数が所定回転数で安定しているか否かを判定する。内燃機関１００の回転数が所定回転数で安定している時に、制御部５０は、複数の気筒のうちの一部の気筒の駆動を休止させる。【選択図】図１
