The method for propagating a Populus seedling using an early cuttage method in accordance with the present invention has a great effect of increasing a production amount of seedlings by shortening a production period of seedlings by cutting using twigs of a Populus seed tree. Moreover, a tree grown in accordance with the present invention can be used as veneer (chopstick, match wood, skewer, toothpick), pulp, plywood, packing materials, etc.본 발명에 따른 조기 삽목 방법을 이용한 포플러 묘목의 번식방법은 상기 포플러 모수(母樹)의 가지의 잎이 진 뒤 10월 내지 12월에 지름 0.3~1㎝의 가지를 채취하는 단계； 상기 채취한 가지는 15~30㎝길이로 잘라 삽목용 가지로 준비하는 단계； 상기 삽목용 가지를 0~5℃의 온도에 저온처리하는 단계； 상기 저온 처리한 삽목용 가지로 10월 내지 12월에 포장에 삽목하는 단계；로 구성되어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.본 발명에 따른 조기 삽목 방법을 이용한 포플러 묘목의 번식방법으로 포플러 모수의 잔가지를 사용하여 삽목하여 묘목의 생산 기간을 단축시켜 묘목생산량을 증가시키는데 큰 효과가 있다.또한, 본 발명에 따라 생장한 나무로 단판(젓가락, 성냥축목, 꼬지, 이쑤시개), 펄프, 합판, 포장재 등으로 사용할 수 있다.
