PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an electric current around coral rooting parts which are installed in a coral culturing structure.

SOLUTION: A reference electrode 21a has a color different from other end caps and is designed capable of being discriminated from other reference electrodes. In the sea, an apparatus 20 for measuring the electric current is arranged so that a specific reference electrode opposes to a first skeletal member 6, when the electric current around the first skeletal member 6, which is a cathode of a coral reef-producing structure 1, is measured. An operator holds the apparatus 20 for measuring the electric current so that the reference electrodes 21a, 21b, 21c and 21d are arranged, in this order, on the outside of the radial direction of the first skeletal member 6 and measures the potential around the first skeletal member 6, to measure the electric current around the first skeletal member 6. Hence, the electric current around the first skeletal member 6 is measured, in the order of measuring positions A to D.
