A gum-like device is designed for the controlled and continued delivery of rifaximin, without producing the usually intense red coloration, for the resolution of the infections and the reduction of the inflammation in the oral cavity and in the laryngo-pharyngeal one. The device also protects either the gum or the dental apparatus from acute infections, from the infiltration and the stagnation of the food, and fights chronic infections such as in the periodontal pockets. Moreover, the device can be used to protect the gum from the traumatizing collision that the food exercises during the mastication.Linvention concerne un dispositif de type gomme conçu afin de délivrer de façon régulée et continue de la rifaximine, sans production de la coloration habituelle intensément rouge, concernant la résolution dinfections et la réduction dinflammation dans les cavités orale et laryngo-pharyngée. Le dispositif protège aussi la gomme ou lappareil dentaire dinfections aiguës, de linfiltration et de la stagnation de nourriture, et permet de combattre des infections chroniques comme dans les poches péridontiques. Le dispositif peut, en outre, être utilisé pour protéger la gomme de collisions traumatisantes que la nourriture exerce lors de la mastication.
