PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valuables production type method and apparatus for treatment of washing wastewater from a food and drink production apparatus.SOLUTION: Wastewater discharged when a food and drink production apparatus is washed is subjected to primary treatment using microorganisms belonging to Aurantiochytrium and capable of producing fatty acids having 14 or more carbon atoms, and then subjected to secondary treatment for removing organic matter remaining in the primary treated water. The washing wastewater can be efficiently treated using as a culture raw material high purity organic components derived from food and drink, such as saccharides contained in the washing wastewater from the food and drink production apparatus, and unsaturated fatty acids can be produced which are useful for health food, livestock fodder, fisheries feed, and the like.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
