PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can properly virtually set a maximum occupation area of a work vehicle regulated by a vehicle body and a work device to avoid interference between the work vehicle and an obstacle.SOLUTION: A travel support system comprises: a work vehicle occupation area management unit which divides a virtual work vehicle occupation area occupied in a working field at the time of traveling into a vehicle body occupation area VA which the vehicle body occupies and a work device occupation area WA which the work device occupies to manage it; a working field management unit which manages obstacle information including a position and a magnitude of an obstacle in the working field; an own vehicle position calculation unit which calculates an own vehicle position; and a travel support unit which supports travelling of the work vehicle on the basis of the obstacle information, the own vehicle position, and the work vehicle occupation area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】障害物との干渉を避けるため、車体と作業装置とによって規定される作業車の仮想的な最大占有領域を、適切に設定することができる技術が要望されている。【解決手段】走行支援システムは、走行時に作業地に対して占める作業車の仮想的な作業車占有領域を、車体が占有する車体占有領域VAと、作業装置が占める作業装置占有領域WAとに分けて管理する作業車占有領域管理部と、作業地の障害物の位置と大きさを含む障害物情報を管理する作業地管理部と、自車位置を算出する自車位置算出部と、障害物情報と自車位置と作業車占有領域とに基づいて作業車の走行を支援する走行支援部とを備えている。【選択図】図1
