FIELD: agriculture.SUBSTANCE: method involves selecting the plants of each hybrid, determining the space of leaves, the biometric indices by determining the number and weight of individual plant organs in terms of growth and development phases, determining the dry biomass of the plants, taking into account the vegetative mass gain of the entire plant and seeds during the development period, the density of plant standing, the photosynthetic potential and the calculation of the net productivity indices of photosynthesis. The amount of the dry plant biomass is preliminarily determined at the beginning and at the end of each phase of development. Thereinafter, the net productivity parameters of photosynthesis are determined by the expression NPP=(B2 - B1):PP, where B2 and B1 are the dry biomass of plants at the beginning and at the end of the accounting period B2 - B1 is the dry weight gain for the number of days of the accounting period, g PP - the photosynthetic potential of hybrids within the accounting period, g/m2×day. According to the obtained values of the net productivity of photosynthesis and the density of plant standing, the yield of corn hybrids is predicted.
