The present invention relates to methods for treating inflammation associatedwith bone, joint or connective tissue and an implantable controlled-releasematerial capable of providing these anti-inflammatory activities. In particular,the present invention relates to a method for reducing inflammation in a subjectstissue comprising the step of implanting a material comprising allogenic bonegel into or adjacent to said tissue, wherein said allogenic bone gel reduces theinflammation.
