PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly view an image under a mark indicating a superimposed portion of an image when reading a stitching image formed by stitching a plurality of partially overlapped images.
SOLUTION: A stitching image creation section 144 creates a stitching image by stitching the plurality of partially overlapped images, and an image drawing section 145, when displaying the stitching image created by the stitching image creation section 144, displays the mark indicating the overlappeded portion at the overlapped portion of the image in the stitching image. A GUI control section 146 displays the image corresponding to a portion hid by the mark according to the operation by an operator such as moving the mark or temporarily non-displaying the mark.
