PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working machine that does not bring a seedling planting unit into contact with a levee, etc., in backward movement of seedling transplanter and does not make backward speed of the seedling transplanter too fast.SOLUTION: The working machine is equipped with a controller 163 that sets the number of revolutions of an engine when a transmission composed of an HST (hydraulic static transmission) 23 and a mechanical speed change means that is arranged behind the HST 23 and changes speed to a shift stage with stages is in a neutral position on the reverse side larger than the number of revolutions of the engine when the transmission is in a neutral position on the forward side and sets the number of revolutions of the engine when the transmission is in a first shift stage in the backward direction smaller than the number of revolutions of the engine when the transmission is in a neutral position on the reverse side. When the seedling transplanter is moved back while raising a seedling planting unit 4, the number of revolutions of the engine is increased before start of the backward movement quickly raise the seedling planting unit. When the backward movement actually starts to reduce the number of revolutions of the engine, the seedling transplanter is not moved backward more than expected, so that an operator achieves safety.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】苗移植機の後退時に苗植付部が畦などに接触することなく、同時に苗移植機の後退速度が速くなり過ぎないようにした苗移植機を提供すること。【解決手段】HST23と、該HST23の後段に設けた有段の変速段に変速する機械式変速手段からなる変速装置が前進側の中立位置にあるときのエンジン回転数より変速装置が後進側の中立位置にあるときのエンジン回転数を大きく設定し、変速装置が後進方向の最初の変速段にあるときのエンジン回転数を変速装置が後進側の中立位置にあるときのエンジン回転数より小さく設定する制御装置163を設けた作業機であり、苗植付部4を上昇させながら苗移植機を後進させる場合に、後進が始まる前にエンジン回転数を上げて素早く苗植付部を上昇させ、、後進が実際に始まるとエンジン回転数を下げると予想以上に高速で後進することもないので操縦者の安全性を図ることができる。【選択図】図9
