PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden on an operator relating to the display of a medical image that cannot be defined the absolute scale in a pixel value.SOLUTION: A medical image processing apparatus 4 includes a cross-section specifying section 4e that compares a basic cross-sectional image group, in which each cross-sectional image has been specified to a cross-sectional position of a subject, with a cross-sectional image group, in which each cross-sectional image is unspecified to a cross-sectional position of the subject, and specifies that the cross-sectional position of the cross-sectional image corresponding to the basic cross-sectional image is the same as that of the basic cross-sectional image.
