PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for infecting rice blast, or the like, which can be performed all year to efficiently and uniformly infection, without requiring a large instrument and large labor to provide a method for assaying the resistance of a field by repeated infections, even in a green house and to provide an assay method which is suitable even for large-scale screening to provide an infection method and a screening method, by which the blast can be efficiently and repeatedly assayed at low cost for a short period all year, even in a facility that does not have a large-scale facility and which can significantly contribute to the growth of blast-resistant kind of rice, and the like.SOLUTION: This method for infecting a pathogenic filamentous fungus in a plant has arranged un-infected plants in the surrounding a plant infected with the spore-scattering type pathogenic filamentous fungus, and maintains the plants in a cover which is controlled under a condition where dew drops are formed on the surfaces of leaves for 2 or more days, typically 4 to 5 days.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】通年にわたって実施可能であり、大がかりな装置や多大な労力を必要とせずに、効率よく均一に感染を成立させる方法、温室内でも反復感染による圃場抵抗性の検定を可能にする方法、及び大規模なスクリーニングにも適した検定方法等を提供することを目的とする。また、大規模な設備を持たない施設でも通年にわたっていもち病の検定を安価に効率的に短期間に反復して行うことを可能にし、いもち病抵抗性品種の育成にも大きく貢献する感染方法及びスクリーニング方法等を提供する。【解決手段】胞子飛散型病原性糸状菌に感染した植物の周囲に未感染の植物を配置し、これらの植物を、葉面に結露が生じる条件に制御された覆いの中で2日以上、典型的には4~5日間維持することを特徴とする、植物の病原性糸状菌感染方法。【選択図】なし
