The invention relates to a magnesium alloy suitable for medical implants and a method for manufacturing the same. It comprises the steps of preparing a pure magnesium ingot, aluminum and silicon for alloy smelting process proceeding with solution heat treatment for the product of the previous step to form a magnesium alloy forming a metal coating on the surface of the magnesium alloy proceeding with vacuum heat treatment to diffuse the metal coating in the magnesium alloy and form a dielectric metal thermal diffusion layer with high biocompatibility on the surface of the magnesium alloy and proceeding with passivation treatment to convert the magnesium alloy into an inorganic metal oxide. Accordingly, the invention use non-toxic magnesium alloy having similar bone tissue strength and controllable degradation rate to prepare medical implants to efficiently achieve the advantages that the medical implants have biocompatibility, mechanical properties, physical and chemical properties and biodegradable properties in human bodies.本發明有關於一種適用於醫療植入物之鎂合金及其製造方法,首先準備一純鎂錠、鋁與矽以進行合金熔煉製程;接著,將前步驟產物進行固溶化熱處理,形成一鎂合金;接續,於鎂合金表面形成一金屬鍍層;之後,進行真空熱處理,使金屬鍍層擴散至鎂合金中,鎂合金之表面係形成具高生物相容性之介金屬熱擴散層;最後,進行鈍化處理,以將鎂合金轉化為無機型金屬氧化物;藉此,本發明係使用與骨組織強度相近且為可控制降解率之無毒性鎂合金以製備醫療用植入物,可有效達到提高植入物在人體之生物相容性、機械性能、物化特性與生物可降解特性之優勢。(S1)‧‧‧步驟一(S2)‧‧‧步驟二(S3)‧‧‧步驟三(S4)‧‧‧步驟四(S5)‧‧‧步驟五
