PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation for external use containing an acylated hydroxycitrate that is hardly hydrolyzed even in the presence of water and is excellent in storage stability and solubility.SOLUTION: The skin care preparation for external use contains an acylated hydroxycitrate represented by the formula, wherein the acylated hydroxycitrate is an organic base and has a pH of 8.2-9.4.
