PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding device which can accurately fold a side of a sheet under conveyance at a desired position.SOLUTION: A sheet folding device is provided with a pair of folding guides 43a, 43b which folds both sides of a sheet to be conveyed by a conveyor 42 along a sheet conveyance direction MD, and the pair of folding guides 43a, 43b has a side wall 44 and an inward extension part 45, respectively. The pair of folding guides 43a, 43b includes inner edges 45a, 45b inclined toward respective inward extension parts, and is configured such that one side of the sheet is folded by the first folding guide 43a, and then, the other side of the sheet is folded by the second folding guide 43b so that it partly overlaps with the folded one side.
