PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant for hot working that can be supplied to a metallic material surface and a tool surface for working, particularly, to an interface of a tool and a workpiece, and a part producing a partial high surface pressure, and to provide a lubrication film formed by the same, and a hot working method using the same.SOLUTION: (1) A lubricant for hot working contains glass powder, and forms a lubrication film 3 having a film thickness of 100 to 1×10μm or 10 to 5×10μm on the surface of a metallic material 2 or the surface of a working tool 2 by flame spraying when in use. (2) A lubrication film is formed by the lubricant. (3) A hot working method uses the lubricant for hot working as the lubricant applied to a portion or a whole area of the metallic material surface or the working tool surface in the hot plastic working of the metallic material.
