PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument having excellent lubricity when being wet with respect to the base material of a medical instrument made of metal, and also having lubricity that includes a wet lubricant coating with high peeling durability and anti-eluting properties, and also to provide a method for manufacturing the medical instrument.SOLUTION: In the medical instrument having lubricity, an intermediate film made of bisphenol A type epoxy resin is coated on a base material of a medical instrument made of metal, and a wet lubricant coating, produced by alkaline processing of a polymer alloy containing a methyl vinyl ether maleic anhydride copolymer and a polyether block amide, is coated thereon further.
