The present invention relates to an electronic device and a body component measuring method capable of automatically recognizing a body measurement part. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the electronic device comprises: a location sensor unit configured to detect location information of the electronic device related to the body of a person to be inspected； a partial body fat measuring unit configured to detect body fat measurement information of the body at a location which corresponds to the detected location information； and a control unit configured to determine a body measurement part, which corresponds to the location where the body fat measurement information is detected, among a plurality of preset body parts by using the detected location information and the detected body fat measurement information.전자 장치 및 전자 장치에서 신체 측정 부위 자동 인식 가능한 체성분 측정 방법에 관한 것이다. 이러한 본 개시의 한 실시 예에 따른 전자 장치는 피검자의 신체에 관려된 상기 전자 장치의 위치 정보를 검출하는 위치 센서부； 상기 검출된 위치 정보에 대응하는 위치에서의 상기 신체의 체지방 측정 정보를 검출하는 부분 체지방 측정부； 및 상기 검출된 위치 정보 및 상기 검출된 체지방 측정 정보를 이용하여, 미리 설정된 다수의 신체 부위 중 상기 체지방 측정 정보가 검출된 위치에 대응하는 신체 측정 부위를 판단하는 제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
