The equipment (1) has a support structure (2) comprising a supporting arm (15), which is extended by a distal arm (17) articulated about an axis (18') and a first connecting unit (19), which permits movement of the distal arm along upward and downward directions. The distal arm is cooperated with the supporting arm via a force exerting unit (25) exerting force on the distal arm in the upward direction. The upward force is adjusted to compensate part of downward force exerted by weight of the distal arm to reduce support of the distal arm on a cutting/grinding head (4) resting on a ground.
