To provide an apparatus, a method and a PROGRAM for evaluating the mental situations of an individual such as a feeling or emotion from a cerebral activity signal obtained by the living body optical measurement.
SOLUTION: The apparatus, method and PROGRAM are provided which evaluate the feeling (depression tendency) of a healthy person objectively by means composed of a verbal working memory and another working memory (one requiring no phonemic loop such as a spatial working memory or the like) to measure the cerebral activity signal using a plurality of kinds of cognitive subjects and forming a composite relative index using the cerebral activity signal related to the inscription and holding in the respective cognitive subjects. By this constitution and the feeling (depression tendency) of an individual healthy person can be objectively and quantitatively evaluated by a simple and inexpensive system.
