An EphA4 binding fragment which binds to EphA4 and is capable of inhibiting the binding between EphA4 and its ligand, and an EphA4 binding fragment thereof, and an anti-EphA4 antibody or an EphA4 binding fragment thereof as an active ingredient. A mouse anti-EphA4 antibody with binding affinity for EphA4 was obtained and the sequence of the complementarity determining region (CDR) of the mouse anti-EphA4 antibody was confirmed. This enabled the production of humanized antibodies comprising CDR sequences of murine anti-EphA4 antibodies in the heavy chain variable region and the light chain variable region.EphA4에 결합하여 EphA4와 이의 리간드 사이의 결합을 저해할 수 있는 항-EphA4 항체 또는 이의 EphA4 결합 단편, 및 항-EphA4 항체 또는 이의 EphA4 결합 단편을 활성 성분으로서 포함하는 약제학적 조성물을 제공하고자 한다. EphA4에 대해 결합 친화성을 갖는 마우스 항-EphA4 항체를 수득하고, 마우스 항-EphA4 항체의 상보성 결정 영역(CDR)의 서열을 확인하였다. 이는 중쇄 가변 영역 및 경쇄 가변 영역에 마우스 항-EphA4 항체의 CDR 서열을 포함하는 인간화 항체의 제조를 가능하게 하였다.
