A weaning pacifier or dummy 5 has a discouraging image or inserted miniature model 1 in the teat or nipple that is designed to make them reject the pacifier or dummy； being any image including； insects such as wasps or scorpions； spiders, worms, snakes and animals； that are printed onto the surface or interior of the teat or nipple area 2. If printed； the image 1 may be printed onto a slightly raised image to improve realistic effect or as a flat image. Miniature models of the discouraging images may also be set into a filling 6 to the interior of the end of the teat or nipple 2, this may be a gel type or may use the single moulded rubber, retained by a wall 7 enabling the miniature model of the discouraging image to be held therein. The images may also be printed onto the other areas of the pacifier or dummy body. Discouraging effects may be achieved via discolouration of and or adding a bad taste to the teat or nipple.
