PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can highly accurately detect the ejection state of liquid droplets ejected from an ejection port of each nozzle during the execution of application operation.SOLUTION: A liquid-droplet ejection apparatus 1A includes: an ejector 10 that has a plurality of ejection ports for ejecting liquid droplets onto a substrate sheet, conveyed in a given direction, on a conveyor 92 an imaging unit 72 that captures an image by receiving light emitted from a light source 71 and a detection means that detects the ejection state of liquid droplets by using an image obtained by imaging flying liquid droplets, ejected into the light flux made incident to the imaging unit 72, by the imaging unit 72.
