To provide a method for removing acetaldehyde using an enzyme and having excellent characteristics in terms of cost and safety.
SOLUTION: The degrading method excellent in terms of cost and safety includes using a superoxide dismutase having acetaldehyde degrading activity derived from a bacterium of the genus Gluconobacter. The method for degrading acetaldehyde does not generate hydrogen peroxide further in the presence of catalase.
