PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastomer tube and a deterioration detection method, capable of easily detecting the presence or absence of deterioration of the tube.SOLUTION: In the elastomer tube 1, a hollow cylindrical tube wall 11 is formed with transparent or half-transparent elastomer. In the tube wall 11, a metal wire 12 is buried to be integrated along the longitudinal direction of the tube, and at least the outer peripheral surface part of the metal wire is made as a metal to be discolored by oxidation. The deterioration of the tube 1 is detected by viewing the discoloration of the metal wire.
