PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule type endoscope and a capsule type endoscope system which enable the prediction of an operation time after activation in consideration of natural discharge of a battery for a power source.SOLUTION: A capsule type endoscope includes: a battery which supplies power a temperature sensor unit which has such a structure that a shape thereof changes with change of a temperature, and detects a temperature inside the capsule type endoscope by utilizing the change of the shape a power storage unit which can store charges by the supply of the power from the battery a power storage control unit which makes the power storage unit store prescribed charges on the basis of a detection result of the temperature sensor unit a voltage measuring unit which measures a voltage of the power storage unit and a storage unit which stores voltage information related to the voltage measured by the voltage measuring unit.
