PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for foreseeing at high accuracy the component information of fruits when ripening from the component information of fruits in a status of growing.SOLUTION: This method or device for foreseeing the component information of fruits comprises irradiating light to arboreal fruits in a status of growing, detecting the absorbancy of the fruits from diffused reflection light to judge dry matter ratio and starch content to be the component information of the fruits in a status of growing, and foreseeing soluble solid content to be the component information of fruits when ripening based on an arithmetic model previously made from the component information of the fruits in a status of growing.COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI【課題】 従来技術では、単に生育途中の果実の現在の内成分情報を検出する方法が開示されているだけで、現在の果実の内成分情報を判断して収穫適期を予測するのに使用できるが、栽培を終えて収穫するときの果実の内成分情報を事前に予測するという技術思想がなく、現在の果実の内成分情報をフィードバックして果実の栽培に十分に利用することができなかった。そこで、本発明では、果実の生育途中の内成分情報から成熟時の内成分情報を高い精度で予測できるようにすることを課題とする。【解決手段】 樹上でなる生育中の果実に光を照射し、その拡散反射光より果実の吸光度を検出して果実の生育途中の内成分情報となる乾物率及び澱粉含量を判断し、この生育途中の内成分情報から予め作成した演算モデルに基づいて果実の成熟時の内成分情報となる可溶性固形物含量を予測する果実の内成分情報の予測方法又は予測装置とした。【選択図】 図1
