PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall surface greening atmosphere purification device which is installed in a narrow space without providing a pipe or a ventilation layer for sending air for purification to a back face, can adopt a structure which plants on both front face and back face sides, and reduces the size of a fan and noise with a little pressure loss.SOLUTION: A wall surface greening atmosphere purification device 1 includes a highly air-permeable soil part 2b which is provided in a plant growth base 2 and is penetrated in a direction perpendicular to plant growth faces 3, 4 of the plant growth base 2, and in which ventilation resistance in the penetration direction is smaller than that of another part 2a of the plant growth base 2. An outer periphery of the highly air-permeable soil part 2b is partitioned with a partition material 9a and the highly air-permeable soil part 2b is filled with a plant growth base material B. Blowing means 13 for sending air for purification is provided in the highly air-permeable soil part 2b.【課題】 被浄化用の空気を送り込むための配管や通気層を背面に設ける必要がなく、狭いスペースにも設置することができ、また前面側と背面側の両方に植栽する構成も採用可能であり、さらに圧力損失が少なくてファンの小型化、騒音の低下が図れる壁面緑化大気浄化装置を提供する。【解決手段】 壁面緑化大気浄化装置１は、植物生育基盤２内に、この植物生育基盤２の植物生育面３，４に対して垂直な方向に貫通して、貫通方向の通気抵抗が前記植物生育基盤２の他の部分２ａよりも小さい高通気性土壌部２ｂを有する。この高通気性土壌部２ｂは、仕切材９ａで外周が仕切られて植物生育基盤材Ｂが充填されたものとする。高通気性土壌部２ｂに被浄化用の空気を送り込む送風手段１３を設ける。【選択図】 図１
