PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope and a hood for an ultrasonic endoscope capable of preventing a body cavity wall from coming into close contact with a tip body by suctioning, and securing an observation visual field by an observation window.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic endoscope includes: an ultrasonic transducer 50 a tip body 36 having a treatment instrument derivation part 56 and an observation window 44 and a hood 80 for an ultrasonic endoscope mounted on the tip body 36, which includes a hood body 81 and an eaves-like part 83.
