An apparatus for acquiring an intraoral image of an object includes an OCT imaging device having an OCT light source, a scanner that transmits OCT light toward the object and returned from the object, and an interferometer having a reference arm and a sample arm. The reflectivity imaging apparatus includes a visible light source directed toward the object and an image sensor that forms a reflectance image from the returned light. The processing and control logic is configured to process the returned reflectivity image and combine it with OCT measurement data.
