PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection device capable of preventing damages (such as destruction of a corner part) to a photoelectric conversion substrate while securing the strength of a side plate of a housing to improve reliability in use even when the radiation detection device is dropped by mistake during transportation, or being banged into or collided with another object.SOLUTION: A radiation detection device includes: a radiation detector 60 having a scintillator 78 for converting a radiation lay transmitted through a subject into visible light and a substantially rectangular photoelectric conversion substrate 76 for converting the visible light into radiation image information and a housing 30 containing the radiation detector 60. The housing 30 is substantially rectangular, including a top plate, a bottom plate, and a frame member 36 for coupling the top plate and the bottom plate.
