PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject method capable of preventing weeds from growing without exerting adverse effect on growth of lawn, and enabling lawn to coexist with weeds and to contribute to landscape improvement and also environmental protection. SOLUTION: This method for tending lawn comprises sowing seeds of spring- sown annual plants such as cosmos flower 12 at the growing period of lawn 15 in a lawn ground 10, delaying a few month from the sowing period intrinsic to plants, and sowing seeds of autumn-sown annual plants at the resting period of the lawn 15 each so as to prevent weeds to grow without damaging the growth of the lawn 15, give varieties to the monotonous lawn 15 and improve the landscape.
