PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article, having high fitting performance and flexibility, and excellent fluid leak preventing performance.

SOLUTION: The absorbent article 10 comprises an absorbent body 1 provided with a surface sheet 2 on the skin contact side, a back sheet 3 on the non-skin contact side, and an absorbent member 4 provided between both sheets, with an expansion sheet 7 forming leak-preventing walls on both lengthwise side parts of the absorbent body. The absorbent body 1 has a center height part 1a that is higher toward the skin contact surface side at a widthwise center part than width direction peripheral parts. Each of the leak-preventing walls on both sides of the absorbent body is, in its natural form, protruding toward the skin contact surface side, forming an overhanging part as each side wall surface swollen outward to rise, holding a cavity inside. A folded part is provided inward to the cavity side inside the leak-preventing wall between an upper end part of the skin contact surface side and a width direction outward lower end part in a width direction section of the leak-preventing wall that rises.
