PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble sterilization/antibacterial agent which has antibacterial activity and antifungal activity in a wide range, and is suppressed in discoloring and coloring caused by an ultraviolet ray or the like, and excellent in light resistance.SOLUTION: This antibacterial composition contains one or more compounds of the silver salt or silver complex of 2H-pyran-2-one-4, 6-dicarboxylic acid or the derivative thereof, and creatinine. A molar ratio (B)/(A) of creatinine (B) to silver (A) in the compound is 2 to 80.
