PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic composition which can improve an application feeling at a time of applying to the hair in the hair cosmetic composition containing a direct dye and substantially not containing silicone and cationic polymer.SOLUTION: A present invention is a hair cosmetic composition in which content of cationic polymer is less than 0.01 mass%, and the content of silicone is less than 0.01 mass%, the composition containing (A) nonionic polymer, (B) ester oil, and (C) direct dye.
