PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize the tip of an endoscope and improve operability at the time of insertion.SOLUTION: In a tip 15 of an endoscope, a tip flange part 63 and a cover tube 69 constituting a tip outer surface member surround the respective outside surfaces of a lens unit 35, an element cover glass 43, and an imaging element 33 and are connected to a sheath 61 so that the outer peripheral surfaces are flush with each other, the sheath covering a transmission cable 31.
