PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care external composition allowing high percutaneous absorbability, suppressing degradation of an ultraviolet absorption agent at a high temperature, having high ultraviolet cut effect, being stable and giving skin lightening effect, even in a compound having an aromatic group or a heteroaromatic group (particularly, diphenylmethyl group or triphenylmethyl group) with a three-dimensionally bulky chemical structure.SOLUTION: A skin care external composition is characterized by containing 1) a compound having an aromatic group or a heteroaromatic group (particularly, diphenylmethyl group or triphenylmethyl group) and 2) an ultraviolet absorption agent, where it is preferable to contain a metal oxide powder and 4-n-butyl resorcinol.
