The present invention relates to an apparatus for treating urinary incontinence comprising: a) a plurality of interconnected pieces of tubing (1860), each piece of tubing comprising a proximal section, a midsection and a distal section, and configured to be aligned to provide both anchoring for the apparatus in a vagina and support of a urethra by radiating the proximal and distal sections outwards from the midsection; b) a device (1811) for interconnecting the plurality of pieces of tubing together; and c) a cover enclosing the pieces of tubing and the device for interconnecting.
