PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical imaging apparatus which allows an operation part to be stably placed and held on an apparatus body.SOLUTION: This near-infrared fluorescent imaging apparatus (a medical imaging apparatus) comprises: a second light source part which irradiates a fluorescent agent within an analyte with light a near-infrared fluorescent sensor which detects near-infrared fluorescence from inside the analyte generated by near-infrared excitation light of irradiation from the second light source part an apparatus body part 30 where the second light source part and the near-infrared fluorescent sensor are provided and an operation part 20 for operating the apparatus, which is provided movably and separately from the apparatus body part 30.
