This ultrasonic vibrator includes: multiple ultrasonic elements which have at least an element that emits ultrasonic waves in response to an input of an electrical signal and converts ultrasonic waves entered from outside into an echo signal, and multiple acoustic matching layers that are laminated on the element and match the acoustic impedance between the element and an observation target and a connecting portion that projects on a side opposite the side of the element with respect to a surface that passes through the surface of the acoustic matching layers and connects adjoining ultrasonic elements of the multiple ultrasonic elements.
