The present invention is targeted towards development of a low-cost daily dosage supplement of prebiotics from natural sources and offers it through the medium of yoghurt/curd/buttermilk to people of all ages, with special reference to diabetics and pre-diabetics. The result is the formulation of Dia-Dahi, a yoghurt/curd supplemented with extracts from Jamun seeds in recommended daily dosage levels. The yoghurt/curd also hosts few strains of probiotics. The wholesome product is made from low fat milk and contains homogenized prebiotic extracts and selected probiotic strains.
