PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat being set on an arbitrary position of a rod material, by adding a simple mechanism to a seat base, and which is obtained by a simplified manufacturing process.SOLUTION: The reel seat has a movable hood 4 for holding a reel leg, and a cylindrical seat base 2, that is to be fitted externally on the rod material 8, and is constituted so that the inner diameter of the seat base 2 to be fitted externally on the rod material 8, can be increased and decreased.
