PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod having an appearance of a fishing rod made of natural bamboo and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A fishing rod of one embodiment of the present invention includes a thin and long fishing rod body on which a large number of projecting portions over substantially entire area of an outer surface of the fishing rod. The outer surface of the fishing rod body is coated with a coated film by die-coating. The coated film may be formed directly on the outer surface of the fishing rod body, or may be indirectly formed.
