PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embolic device for use in minimally invasive treatment of an aneurysm and other vascular diseases.SOLUTION: An embolic microcoil 102 can be formed into a complex shape for use in treating an aneurysm 202 and other vascular diseases. The microcoil features: a distal portion 104 that includes several loops for constituting an approximately spherical shape together； and an elongated proximal portion that is deployable within the distal portion. The distal portion can create a stable frame with adequate loop coverage across a neck 204 of the aneurysm. The proximal portion can include a series of approximately omega-shaped loops, which apply force to the inside of the approximately spherical distal portion so as to expand it into apposition with an additional portion of an aneurysm wall 206.
