PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope decreased in push-in force to hardly cause buckling.SOLUTION: An insertion part of an endoscope includes: a distal end hard part a curved part and a soft part. The soft part is made to have a bending stiffness profile PF, the bending stiffness of which increases exponentially according to a distance from a boundary with the curved part. In inserting an operation part of the endoscope into a body cavity, push-in force is decreased to hardly cause buckling. Thus, the operability in inserting the insertion part into the body cavity is improved. The distal end of the endoscope can be quickly sent to the deepest part of a desired body cavity so that the load of an operator and a patient can be lessened.
