PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope in which an end of a flexible printed board can smoothly pass through a flexible insertion hole when the end of the flexible printed board connected to an ultrasonic probe is inserted to the flexible insertion hole formed on a distal end hard part, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic endoscope comprises a resin distal end hard part 19 which supports an ultrasonic probe provided on the surface of a front end of an insertion part extending forward from an operation part and a flexible insertion hole 39 which penetrates the distal end hard part in the cross direction on a rearer side than an ultrasonic probe abutting surface 24 formed in the distal end hard part. The flexible insertion hole comprises an axial line parallel part 40 which extends forward in the cross direction from the rear end surface of the distal end hard part and has a cross sectional circular arc shape with the axial line of the distal end hard part as a center, and an annular tapered part 41 which extends while a portion on an outer circumferential side with respect to the ultrasonic probe abutting surface of the distal end hard part is reduced in a diameter from the front side toward the rear side and has a rear end connected to the front end of the axial line parallel part.
