The present invention relates to a tampon for positioning in a body cavity, comprised of a tampon body comprising a fluid absorbing material and a packing for packing said tampon. The tampon is characterized in that said packing, when using said tampon, is stored in a removable manner at least partly within the tampon body. A sleeve may be provided for storing the packing during use of the tampon and from which the packing may be removed after use of the tampon. Removal of the packing is preferably obtained by means of a cord for removing the tampon from the body cavity.La présente invention concerne un tampon destiné à être positionné dans une cavité corporelle, composé d'un corps de tampon comprenant un matériau absorbant les fluides et d'un emballage destiné à emballer ledit tampon. Le tampon est caractérisé en ce que ledit emballage, lors de l'utilisation dudit tampon, est entreposé de manière amovible au moins partiellement dans le corps du tampon. Une gaine peut être prévue pour entreposer l'emballage pendant l'utilisation du tampon et à partir de laquelle l'emballage peut être enlevé après l'utilisation du tampon. L'élimination de l'emballage est de préférence réalisée au moyen d'une corde destinée à enlever le tampon de la cavité corporelle.
