PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating chopper driving device in an endoscope light source apparatus, the rotating chopper driving device capable of being assembled while minimizing a positional displacement between axial lines of an output shaft of a motor and a rotary drive shaft of a rotating chopper connected to each other by a flexible joint, and to provide an assembling method of the rotating chopper driving device in the endoscope light source apparatus.SOLUTION: A rotating chopper driving device includes a first support plane 77c2 where the inner surfaces of a first temporary connection hole 75a and a second temporary connection hole 75a of a positioning joint member 75 extend in the direction parallel to the axis line of a rotary drive shaft 35, and a second support plane 77c2 extending in the direction parallel to the axis line and un-parallel to the first support plane when viewed in the axial direction.
